Rolex Oyster Raleigh

 Oyster Raleigh Military made by the Rolex Watch Company in 1942.  The stainless steel Oyster case is all original with a well functioning screw down crown marked  “Oyster Patent”.   This vintage watch is in excellent running condition and is beautiful to the eye with the lovely aged patina to the dial.   The Oyster Raleigh contains a Rolex caliber 59 movement with 15 jewels and watch is signed “Rolex” under the dial. The Oyster Raleigh was used by Canadian soldiers going into WW2.  These watches were small in size but nonetheless effective during wartime.  The dial, as we mentioned is evenly aged with an outer minute track, Arabic numbers, steel pencil hands and a smart looking red sweep seconds hand. Screw down back has knurled edge and inside of case back signed RWC for Rolex Watch Co.   30mm diameter. This is definitely a vintage military Oyster watch in fine original condition and becoming a rare collectible.  Grey leather strap.
