Waltham pocket watch housed in a beautiful sterling silver hallmarked English case by Dennison. This is a size 6 watch – 40mm ( 1 and 3/16”) diameter and is a smaller watch that would suite a woman, a young man or a gentleman who just prefers a smaller pocket watch to carry in his pocket or vest. This watch has its original sterling silver English chain with non initialled fob. The movement is gilt, sparkling and running well. The dial is fine and white with black Roman numbers and black spade hands. The case is sterling silver with hallmarks from Birmingham 1907 together with a case makers mark for Aaron Dennison who produced cases for various watch companies but had a special close relationship with Waltham. The case is in very good condition and the machined detailing is still nice and crisp on the back of the watch.
The watch comes with a sterling silver chain which is 26 cm (11 “) long including the clasp and a shorter chain drop of 30mm (1”) which holds the sterling silver fob. This is a lovely watch and chain combination that will be enjoyed by whoever may wear it. Ashton-Blakey Vintage Watches has supplied watches and chains to members of the Vintagers Club of America.
