WALTHAM “RIVERSIDE” Man’s size 16 Sterling Silver open faced pocket watch. Excellent well running and beautiful 15 jewel model 1888 Riverside grade has a fancy ornamented movement as you can see with screw down jewel cups. It is signed and fully adjusted. Dial is perfect and white porcelain with black Roman numbers surrounded by red five minute marks. The hands are blued spade pointers and there is a seconds hand at the number six position. Sterling silver case is beautifully hallmarked for Birmingham 1895 as well as the maker who was Alfred Bedford, the manager of Waltham for London. Case has elaborate design on back which could be initials but looks more like an art deco design . 50 mm diameter.
Watch comes with a very handsome single Albert chain and fob in sterling silver with each link hallmarked with lion passant, as well the fob. Chain is a very good weight at 45 g and is 31 mm long (12 inches) and a 10 mm drop (2 inch) for the fob.
