BREITLING Navitimer AOPA Ref.806 Sold

BREITLING NAVITIMER AOPA Ref. 806 Rare Black on Black dial. Stainless steel and gold plated navigators wrist watch model 806 with round button chronograph pushers, telemeter and slide rule bi-directional revolving beaded and graduated bezel.   The stunning all black dial is excellent with gold luminous Arabic numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds, 12 hour and 30minute registers.  There is an outer 1/5^th seconds scale, with graduations for the telemeter and slide rule.  The gold hands are luminous.

This Navitimer is well running on every function and contains a beautiful and sparkling Venus caliber 178 – 17 jewel movement with straight line lever escapement, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring and index regulator.  This is an exceptional navigator’s watch and is highly collectible in this condition and is a rare model with the AOPA logo (Aircraft Pilots and Owners Association) embossed on the dial. The case is in excellent condition and is signed on the stainless steel snap off back.  As well, the crown, movement and dial are signed,  Case is 40mm diameter without crown and only 14mm thick.  This is a highly collectible watch that will definitely make a statement.
