1930s silver man's Orator pocket watch and chain.
This elegant watch has a stem-winding 15 jewel movement, Swiss calibre 18.220 identified as by Orator, which is running well. The watch measures 46mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back. The case is beautifully decorated on the front and back, and there is an empty shield to the hinged case back ready for your initials. Slight bit of unevenness to back but really not very noticeable at all. The harlequin patterned two toned dial is very special and unique and is signed Chronometre Cosmos. It has a textured pattern and is in lovely original condition. The applied block numerals are gold as well the beautiful Roman hands. The sub seconds hand at the number six position is also in gold. There is a fine circle of gold dots on the perimeter of the dial and within that dial, a black 24 hour dial can be seen as well on this most attractive dial.
This is a nice dressy watch that will go well for an evening out or for a special look during the daytime.
