Sterling Silver English Vertex man's pocket watch in fine running condition. This watch has a fine 15 jewel signed movement and is stem winding. 49 mm diameter excluding the winding crown. The. case is English and silver with hallmarks on the covers for Birmingham 1923 with a case makers mark for Aaron Dennison. This is a superb watch from over 100 years ago. The dial is white with black Roman numbers and black spade hands with a black seconds hand at the number six position. Attached is a 13 inch sterling silver chain hallmarked on each link, with a silver fob coin from 1910 with head of King Edward VII. Vertex is an excellent Swiss maker famous for being one of the "Dirty Dozen" most sought after watches made for the military in WW II.
