AURORA POCKET WATCH man’s size 18 hunting cased – 14K gold filled case. This is a rare and fine watch in that it was made in the 1880’s in Aurora, Illinois by the Aurora Watch Company, but after a short while due to a fire, was purchased by the Columbian Watch Company which was later renamed the HAMILTON WATCH Company soon after. This is 15 jewel well running movement with a nickel plate, gold jewel cups and a Hurds Regulator. Watch is stem wound and time is set by a lever at the number five position. Watch has been recently serviced. The 14K gold filled case is in very fine condition with lovely engraving on front and back in addition to the edges. There is an open shield ready for your initials. Case is signed Philadelphia Watch Case Company. Original watch paper even included in case. Dial is a perfect and white with black Roman numbers and black spade pointers. Seconds dial at number six position. Diameter is 54 mm. This very collectible watch is in excellent condition all around and will be a pleasure to wear.
