Antique John Elkan"Colonial" Sterling silver pocket watch in fine running condition. The watch has a 15 jewel stem winding movement Swiss from Revue and is protected by a silver inner hinged cover. The watch measures 49 mm in diameter and there are hallmark case marks inside both of the covers for Birmingham 1924 with a makers mark for Aaron Dennison. The case is in good condition with a plain machined design and an open shield ready for your initials. The case shows just minor wear for a silver watch of almost a hundred years old. The dial is signed John Elkan Ltd, who was the original famous retailer of the watch who specialized in jewelry, gold and silver goods. The dial is excellent and has black Roman numbers and lovely gold hands with a seconds dial at number six position. Add a nice silver chain and you'll look great wearing this watch.
