ENGLISH - Pocket Watch Sterling Silver

Sterling silver open faced English lever man’s pocket watch retailed by Smith and Sons of Croydon. This lovely example is a sterling silver double hinge  key winding movement which is well running.  The dial is excellent and is signed A. Smith and Sons, Croydon.    The movement is also beautifully signed.  The watch is 54mm in diameter and there are hallmarks for sterling silver  inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1894  with the makers mark for William Erhardt.   The case has some very light surface marking and a couple of very tiny dings but in overall in fine condition for an over 100 year old watch. The excellent  white   dial has black roman numbers and gold hands with a blued steel sub seconds.   Back of case has an open shield ready for initials.   Any man will enjoy wearing this fine key wind watch.  Watch comes with a key and a black velvet pouch.  Ashton-Blakey  has provided many watches and chains to members of the Vintagers Club.
