ELGIN 14K gold hunter case watch in a size 6, but with all the engraving and heavy gold case appears to be larger (42 mm diameter) 1 5/8” is in fine running condition. This is a lovely watch with a white dial with black Roman numbers and black spade pointers. There is a very tiny repair and hairline near the number 7 but almost completely unnoticeable to the naked eye. There is a seconds dial at the number six position. The movement is a ¾ plate gilt finish, has 7 jewels, is a grade 117 model 2 with pendant set and wind.
The case is 14K gold in very fine near mint condition. It is heavy gold and richly engraved with lovely dressy designs on edges and beautiful engraving of a house surrounded by garlands on one side with an open shield ready for your initials, surrounded by florals on the reverse. There is no doubt you will be very proud to carry, collect or present this fine Elgin watch. This size could suite a woman or for a man who wants to carry a smaller sized watch in his vest. Comes with a velvet bag as usual. Ashton-Blakey has provided watches and chains to the Vintager’s Club of America.
