Why it's special (and be sure to check out the video):

The Autavia is the true Icon of the Heuer Racing watch line. This is the rare ref. 73663, not to be confused with the cheaper and more common 1163 "Viceroy" models ($88 back in 1972, so long as you also bought a single carton of Viceroy cigarettes!) which used an automatic movement by Buren Watch SA, as opposed to the famed Valjoux found in this 7736 caliber movement, easily distinguishable by the winder situated on the right side of the watch.

This Autavia comes from the golden age of racing and while the Carrera was more popular at the time, and of course, the Monaco is super cool too, it was the Autavia that had the real racing heritage and authenticity.
