Why it's special:
Don't get this rare ref. 73663 confused with the cheaper and more common 1163 "Viceroy" model ($88 back in 1972, so long as you also bought a single carton of Viceroy cigarettes!) which used Heuer’s own Chronomatic (automatic) movement as opposed to the famed Valjoux found in this far more rare Ref. 73663, which is easily distinguishable by the winder situated on the right side of the watch.
This Autavia comes from the golden age of racing and while the Carrera was more popular at the time, it was the Autavia that had the real racing heritage and authenticity.
