ENGLISH SILVER Pocket Watch with Chain

D3755

ENGLISH FINE silver hunting cased  man’s pocket watch retailed by George Dyer of 90 Regent Street, London.   This lovely example is  fine silver as opposed to sterling silver and is 99.9% silver which would make it more elite than Sterling silver and also more costly.   The watch is a well running key wind and key set and comes with a double Albert sterling silver chain which is hallmarked  with a lion on each link and two key fobs and is 7" on either side (14" long altogether) with a 1 inch drop from the T bar.

The dial is excellent with black Roman numbers , black spade pointers  and is signed with the number 37553 which corresponds with the number on the movement to confirm components are original to each other.    The movement is signed by the maker as well  and is protected by an inner cover.  The watch is 50 mm in diameter and each cover shows the fine silver engraving  inside each  of the case backs .  The back cover opens to show a crown, above the name of watchmaker Dyer along  with 90 Regent Street, London.    The case is in very good  condition and is machined  on front and back cover with an open shield on back ready for initials.    Any man will enjoy wearing this fine key wind watch.  Watch comes with lovely antique  keys, and a sterling double Albert chain.
