Sterling silver open faced English man’s pocket watch retailed by F. S. Lane of Radstock. This lovely example is a sterling silver double hinge key winding and key set which is well running. The dial is excellent and is signed F.S Lane, Radstock, the jeweller. The movement is also beautifully signed and engraved and is protected by an inner cover.
The watch is 50 mm in diameter, nice and husky and there are hallmarks for sterling silver inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1902 with the makers mark for William Ehrhardt of Hatton Garden. The case is in very fine condition with the machining on back cover being sharp and crisp. The excellent white dial has black Roman numbers and gold hands with a blued steel sub seconds. Back of case has an open shield ready for initials. Any man will enjoy wearing this fine key wind watch. Watch comes with lovely antique key and a velvet pouch.
