BREITLING wartime - US NAVY navigators rare Chronograph Pocket Watch with 18 Jewels in fine working order and running strong. Chronograph starts, stops and resets well. Dial is signed Breitling under the top register but it is etched into dial so therefore difficult to see in photo, but it is there. Excellent black dial with white Arabic numbers, outer chronograph track, white hands with minute recorder at 12 and sub seconds at 6 pm position as well as a white sweep second hand, ¾ plate nickel movement adjusted to three positions with Micrometric regulator. Movement bridge marked Wakmann Watch who collaborated with Breiting for much of the wartime watches 3 Three adjustments 18 Eighteen jewels, Swiss. Inside of case marked Breitling Watch Ltd. Swiss. This is a fine and RARE example of a wartime chronograph ordered by the US services from one of Switzerland’s premier manufacturers and we believe the only one from Breitling. A necessary addition for any collection.
