ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER POCKET WATCH

L2854

The  Antique silver pocket watch has an English stem-winding movement which is working well.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Chester 1900 with a sponsor’s mark for Thomas Hewitt of the Lancashire Watch Company. The case is in excellent  condition,

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer of the watch, J Marshall, 68 Granby St, Leicester. The  white dial has its original pin-set blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There are a couple of very  faint hairlines to the dial but they are difficult to see with the naked eye. This is a nice solid silver watch with a good feel.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box.
