ENGLISH Sterling Silver Pocket Watch

G4663

Here we have a Sterling silver open faced English lever man's pocket watch from J G Graves of Sheffield.

This lovely example is a sterling silver double hinge  key winding movement which is well running.  The dial is excellent and is signed The “Express” English Lever in red, J G Graves, Sheffield.    The movement is also beautifully signed.  The watch is 54mm in diameter and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester  1900  with the makers mark   for English case maker Thomas Peter Hewitt (the Lancashire Watch Company)   The case has some very light surface marks but  in overall fine condition and almost near mint  for an over 100 year old watch. The fine white  double sunk dial has black roman numbers and gold hands with a blued steel sub seconds.   Back of case has an open shield ready for initials.   You will enjoy wearing this fine key wind watch.  Comes with  key.
