A charming small 14k gold hunter-cased pocket watch dating to the early 20th century, well suited to wear on a fine chain as a pendant or necklace watch. The compact octagonal case is attractively finished with engraved floral borders, while the front cover is decorated with three small stone-set accents, giving the watch a distinctly elegant period appearance.
The white enamel dial is clean and clearly presented, with black Arabic numerals, gilt minute dots, ornate gold hands and subsidiary seconds at six. Its delicate proportions and decorative detailing give the watch considerable charm without appearing overly elaborate.
Inside is a clean Swiss 15-jewel manual-winding movement, which is running well. The inner gold cuvette closes firmly, though its fine hinge is delicate and can disengage relatively easily if overextended. Care should therefore be taken when opening it, although this does not affect the operation or timekeeping of the watch.
The 14k gold case is marked 0.585 and remains in attractive condition, with light age-related wear. The crown-mounted release no longer opens the front hunter cover, so the cover must be lifted manually at the edge with a fingernail. Once opened, it remains functional and closes securely.
