Presenting a late Victorian chain and fob of remarkable craftsmanship and substantial weight, truly one of the heaviest we have encountered at an impressive 100.8 grams. This exquisite chain spans 12 inches in length, with an additional 2-inch drop for the attached fob. The T-bar and clip are fully hallmarked, dating to Birmingham 1889, and bear the maker's initials "SRS." Both the chain and fob are in excellent condition, showcasing the timeless quality of their construction. The fob itself is a striking silver shield, left blank and uninscribed, adorned with finely detailed rifles on either side, making this an extraordinary piece of history.
