WALTHAM 18K Gold Pocket Watch

WALTHAM 18K  yellow gold man's hunting cased pocket watch in fine running condition.  This is a heavy size 18 watch 50 mm diameter (2")  with deep and beautiful engraving all over the watch.  Dial is white single sunk  and perfect with black roman numbers and black spade pointers.  There is a seconds dial at the number six position.  Movement is a William Ellery model with a beautiful sparkling gilt full plate with engraved balance cock,  lever set with 11 jewels.  The heavy 18K case is engraved on both sides and edges with flowers and leaves and a house scene on one side with  an open shield on the other ready for your initials

William Ellery signed the Declaration of Independence for Rhode Island in 1776.  During the Civil War, Waltham’s watch factory designed the William Ellery model and these watches became very popular.
