CC8877

This finely crafted Swiss-made pocket watch, produced by the renowned Camerer Kuss of New Oxford Street, London, dates to approximately 1910. It features an elegant open-face, top-winding design with a pin-set mechanism that functions perfectly and keeps excellent time.

The watch boasts a clear white dial with black numerals and blue steel hands, accompanied by a small seconds subdial. A faint hairline crack, only visible upon close inspection, subtly reflects the watch's age and history. Its solid silver case is in excellent condition, with a plain cartouche on the back and perfectly intact hinges showing no signs of repair. Inside, the Swiss movement is of exceptional quality, remarkably clean, and operating flawlessly.

Paired with the watch is a solid silver Albert chain measuring 11 inches in length, complemented by a matching silver fob. Both the chain and fob feature silver hallmarks, dating to the same early 20th-century period as the watch. Together, they create a cohesive and elegant ensemble.

The Camerer Kuss family, who migrated to London in the early 19th century, earned an esteemed reputation for offering premium quality watches, and this timepiece exemplifies their dedication to craftsmanship. Adding to its appeal, the watch comes in its original box, which remains in very good condition, enhancing its value as a collectible item.

This watch being one of their earlier pieces after coming to set up their manufacturing in England had their original name KUSS engraved on watch, however, later changed  their name to Camerer Cuss.

With a case diameter of 47.5mm and its pairing with the beautifully hallmarked chain, this exquisite timepiece not only reflects timeless elegance but also makes a thoughtful and memorable gift.
