SILVER WALTHAM VANGUARD railroad grade 23 jewel pocket watch in excellent running condition. This watch has a beautiful sparkling stem wound movement with finely engraved patterned plates, and highlighted by gold screw set jewel cups. There is an Ohlson 1908 patented regulator and the plates are adorned with gilt old English writing. The movement is protected by a silver dust cover with silver hallmarks on this fine English case by Aaron Dennison and dates it back to 1918.
The perfect white dial has blued spade pointers and chubby Deco style Roman numbers surrounded by black one minute marks. The dial is double sunk and has a seconds dial at the number six position. The watch is 48 mm in diameter and is a good looking watch to be worn daily or as a collectible. Back of watch has a circular design with open shield ready for his initials.
