WALTHM Marquis” stem wind size 16, gold filled men’s pocket watch in fine running condition. Waltham manufactured the “Marquis” specifically for the British market and as such is rare in that we do not find too many available any longer. It is a model 1908 with 15 jewels and a ¾ plate gilded movement and manufactured in 1915. The Waltham signed enamel dial is perfect and has black Roman numerals and black spade pointers. There is a seconds dial at the number six position. The case is 50 mm diameter ( 2") and is in very good condition and made by one of the most prolific case makers, the Dennison Watch Case Company who made cases for various watch companies.
This fine watch comes with a single gold filled Albert chain which is 27 CM (just under 11 inches) long including the clasps. This is a very attractive watch and chain set and one we are sure you will enjoy wearing. It’s very smart looking and slightly understated.
