KENDAL & DENT British Pocket Watch

K6455

Kendal & Dent  were very well known British watch makers and they supplied ships' chronometers for the Admiralty.

The watch is sterling silver and has  a 15 jewelled Swiss stem-winding movement, which is running  well. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The white enamel dial is signed Kendal & Dent London. Makers to the Admiralty. The dial has bold black Roman numbers and black spade pointers with a seconds dial at the number six position.

The watch itself measures 50.2mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the stem. The case is Sterling silver and there are silver hallmarks inside the two case backs for London 1919 with the importers mark for the Willis & Hill. The case has machining on back with an open shield ready for your initials. Overall a very handsome watch for your gentleman. Comes with a black velvet bag.

Ashton-Blakey has provided watches and chains to  members of the Vintagers Club of America.
